Questions and Answers: When…?

Question: When should I schedule restorative care once you have suggested a treatment for me?

Answer: Regardless of the problem, the best way to protect your oral health is to schedule your restorative treatment immediately. If there is great urgency, we will let you know. The worst decision is to wait because a problem will only continue to worsen until it is treated.

Question: When should I schedule preventive care visits for my cleanings and checkups?

Answer: You should schedule them according to our suggestions for your oral health needs. For most patients, we like to see you once every six months. For others (such as patients dealing with periodontal concerns), we may suggest more frequent appointments.

Question: When should I call you if something has changed with my oral health? Should I wait it out?

Answer: If you feel extremely concerned, you may call us immediately. However, if you are unsure (perhaps you have noticed a sore or bump in your mouth), you may give the problem a maximum of two days to begin healing. If the issue persists, then contact us right away.
